The New Richmond School Nutrition Department does more than serve meals on school days. We are dedicated to doing our part to fight hunger in our community. Many families are in need of assistance within our community. Our School Nutrition leadership team is uniquely positioned to assist these families with community donations.

Our department is proud to serve students breakfast and lunch meals regardless of meal account status. This is not an issue the student should have to deal with and we never shame a student for being negative. They receive the same meals all students have access to.

Unfortunately, some families are unable to pay for school meals and don’t qualify for free/reduced price benefits. Or we have situations in which families newly qualify for these benefits, but have a past negative balance. You can help by donating to Negative Meal Accounts.

Any family in our district can sign up to take part in the Happy Kids Backpack Program. With this program families receive vouchers for fresh food items at Kwik Trip on a monthly basis via US Postal Service mail. Students in elementary school also receive a snack during the school day.
