Learn to Knit

Community Education / Adult / Hobbies & Personal Enrichment -
Community Education - Summer 2026

During this knitting class participants will learn information about yarn and patterns, how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. Participants need to bring a worsted weight yarn & I/9 (5.5 mm) or J/10 (6 mm) knitting needles.

The first class is to learn the basics. The two weeks between are for practice and finding a pattern you'd like to start. The second class is for follow up questions/refinement and/or support on starting a project. There are three sessions offered to support as many people as possible who want to learn knitting during the busy summer.

Contact the instructor if you have any questions about the supplies.
