School District of New Richmond - School Age Care
Personal safety is a life skill not just for us, but for our children, too. Whether you're heading to work, walking to your car, sending your teen off to school, or just running errands, knowing how to spot danger early and respond confidently can make all the difference. This class is designed for anyone who wants to feel safer and more in control at any age or stage of life. The National Crime Victimization Survey reports that more than 2 million people annually experience crimes like robbery or aggravated assault in the U.S. Situational awareness and early boundary-setting have been shown to reduce the likelihood of victimization across a wide range of threats, not just violence. This workshop provides a safe, judgment-free space to begin or continue your personal safety journey with realistic, empowering tools that are applicable in everyday life. "You don’t need to be fearless. You just need to be aware, and ready to act with confidence."
