Our Learn to Skate program is designed specifically for first-time skaters who have not previously participated in the New Richmond Youth Hockey Association (NRYHA). This course focuses on the basics in a fun, supportive environment—perfect for young beginners stepping on the ice for the very first time. Two sessions will run concurrently this fall (Saturday mornings & Wednesday evenings). Families may sign up for one or both. Each session is limited to 25 skaters to ensure quality instruction.

Information for the class:
1. Have your child dress comfortably; long johns and sweatpants work great!
2. Nylon gloves (not cotton, they get wet).
3. Inexpensive knee and elbow pads (most discounters have them).
4. A good helmet- bike helmets work but Face mask protection is preferred.
5. Skates - any kind will do (hockey or figure).
